“Bucky the Writer” Sitcom Script: Part 11!

FADE IN.

INT. INSIDE OF A CAR-DAY
    (BUCKY BUTLER, STEVE BUTLER, SPOTTY)

                       STEVE BUTLER
Look son, I’m sorry, it’s just that
I’ve been working my butt off and my
                job is really demanding and—

                       BUCKY BUTLER
I thought you were on workmen’s comp?

STEVE BUTLER LOOKS PUZZLED WHILE SPOTTY IS CLIMBING BACK INTO THE BACK SEAT

                         STEVE BUTLER
Well, Kelly’s been nagging me lately—

                          BUCKY BUTLER
I thought you and Kelly broke up?

                         STEVE BUTLER
                 We got back together and—

                        BUCKY BUTLER
How many times have you two gotten
back together or have you two even really
                 gotten back together at all?

                        STEVE BUTLER
                 Kelly loves you son!

                         BUCKY BUTLER
                 Sure she does Dad.

                          SPOTTY
So how am I related to Kelly again? And
                 we’re running really late and—

                          BUCKY BUTLER
                 (YELLING) Shut up Spotty!

                          STEVE BUTLER
What the heck are you yelling about?
And you guys say I’m the one with the
                  anger issues. Anyway we’re here!

                         BUCKY BUTLER
Thanks Dad! See you Tuesday for dinner!

                          STEVE BUTLER
You’re welcome son. Tuesday we’re having
chicken and mashed potatoes. Also Woody
still misses you Bucky. He’s been barking
up a storm and the landlord’s been
nagging about Woody’s barking and his vet
bills are getting pricy because he’s
                  getting older and—

                          BUCKY BUTLER
I really have to go. But give Woody my
love and you better take good care of my
                  dog.

                          STEVE BUTLER
I will son and Woody’s our dog remember.
Now, I have to take a very important
business call, but call me later tonight
                  after class.

                           BUCKY BUTLER
                  I will Dad. Later!

                         SPOTTY
Goodbye Grandpa! Know that we both
love you even though Bucky thinks that
you’re totally insane! Even though he
is the one talking to an invisible dog.

                        BUCKY BUTLER
                  Shut up Spotty!

BUCKY BUTLER AND SPOTTY EXIT THE CAR TOGETHER AT THE SAME TIME WHILE STEVE BUTLER IS STILL SITTING INSIDE HIS CAR IN A PARKING LOT

                        STEVE BUTLER
I guess it’s time to take that
                 business call now.

STEVE BUTLER BEGINS TO SMOKE A CIGARETTE AND BEGINS TO LISTEN TO A BASEBALL GAME ON THE CAR RADIO

                       STEVE BUTLER
                  Business is good!

                                         FADE OUT.
