The Wish Tournament Part 4

Back in the present, at nightfall, hours later, during a cold crisp night, a mail truck slowly drives by an old pub called The Ogre’s Ass in a bad part of town. The sounds of drunken laughter, loud music, and explosions could be heard inside the old pub. Once the mail truck is parked, Atomic and Queen Brooke emerge out of the truck and make their way to the entrance of The Ogre’s Ass Pub. Atomic walks up to the front door and knocks three times. Through the door’s sliding peephole and a gruff male voice coughs only to ask, “What’s the password?” with Atomic answering back simply with the word “Cheese wheel”. The Ogre’s Ass Pub door opens as Atomic and Queen Brooke enter to see criminals partying away. Just everywhere criminals drinking away their problems, doing every kind of drug, every kind of sex act with hookers of both genders and species, and playing games that could kill them. All Atomic is focused on is the man at the end booth of the pub, a 500lbs. obese titan of a man known simply as The King of the Gangsters, but to Atomic, it’s just dad. As The King of the Gangsters has a few beers with his top partners in crime, boozing it up and laughing the night away as he is unaware his beloved granddaughter was kidnapped. Atomic and Queen Brooke make their way to over to talk with The King of the Gangsters, in the meantime, Atomic spots his pro wrestler/rock star brother Duke, who looks a lot more like their father The King of the Gangsters with the only difference being is that Duke sports his signature red mask which gives him all of his strength and powers. Duke is having patrons through darts at his dart board painted belly as Duke doesn’t feel the pain of each dart that hits his chest. Atomic also sees his nephew and Duke’s son, Con Man Chris, smoking a joint while telling jokes to a small crowd of criminals only to have the crowd through swarms of tomatoes at him. After The King of the Gangsters has his 40th beer, he stops drinking for a second as he spots his first-born son and his daughter-in-law entering his hideout.

The King of the Gangsters exits his booth and makes his way towards Atomic and Queen Brooke with each footstep he causes a small quake. The King of the Gangsters gives his son Atomic a big bear hug and then kisses Queen Brooke’s hand. “Atomic, Brooke, welcome to The Ogre’s Ass. Would you guys like a beverage or some buffalo wings?” asks The King of the Gangsters in a thick Russian accent. “Dad, we need to talk about Lara,” says Atomic Anderson. But before The King of the Gangsters could speak, the juke box starts playing as the hip, happening, and smooth Flynn Night enters. “Is this the legendary hideout of The King of the Gangsters?” asks Flynn Night. “Who the heck are you slim swordsman?” asks The King of the Gangsters. Flynn Night grins and he pulls out his long samurai sword as the sound of police sirens grows louder. “My name is Flynn Night. You’re a wanted man with a big reward of 500,000 Pilzids to whoever catches you. Now I could either bring you in, alive, or dead. I prefer either option. But being the nice guy I am, I’ll let you pi…,” says Flynn Nick. The King of the Gangsters punches Flynn Night in the face. As blood bleeds down Flynn’s face, he wipes it off like it was no big deal. “I see that you’re a fighter. Well, let’s bring it on,” says Flynn Night. Before The King of the Gangsters could beat the ever-living snot out of Flynn Night, the sounds of police sirens blaring were everywhere as The Ogre’s Ass was surrounded by more cops than criminals, but both were equally corrupt in this situation. Atomic and Duke escorted everyone down to the basement through a hidden entrance behind the fireplace. The King of the Gangsters threw Flynn Night into the bar counter and left him unconscious. The King of the Gangsters making sure everyone fled, lights up a cigar and hollers for the police to come in. And come in they did. The police officers were led by Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe, a half-pig and half-horse creature and the local sheriff, and The Tax Archer, King Dominion’s meek boring tax collector and a skilled archer. As police officers looked around the place, The King of the Gangsters offered cigars to Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe and The Tax Archer which they happily accepted. “I guess it’s finally time. We’ve been after you for years old timer. And you thought you could run away from old Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe, eh,” said Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe in a Southern accent. “What are the charges, and may I have a word with my lawyer first?” asks The King of the Gangsters in a sarcastic tone. “King of the Gangsters, you’re under arrest,” said Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe. Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe handcuffs The King of the Gangsters and turns him over to two other stronger police officers. “Men, take him away,” said Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe. Then two police officers drag over Flynn Night to Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe who puts some smelling salt under his nose. Flynn Night slowly regains his consciousness. He’s soon directly staring into the eyes of an annoyed Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe. “I haven’t seen you around here boy. Now tell me your name and why I shouldn’t arrest you?” asks Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe. “I’m Flynn Night. I’m a bounty hunter and I’m on your side. They’re in the basement you know?” says Flynn Night. Suddenly out of nowhere, five of The King of the Gangsters’s goons emerge and start shooting at the police officers inside The Ogre’s Ass. The Tax Archer pulls out his bow and arrow and starts shooting hitting every target perfectly. The only downside, a few officers were killed, and Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe was shot. Soon more goons return and start shooting causing a shootout between the goons and the police. During the madness, Flynn Night makes his escape as The Tax Archer tends to a wounded Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe. Flynn Night grabs his motorcycle and drives off as the shootout continues along with witnessing the arrest of The King of the Gangsters and a few of his goons. After he rides away, The Ogre’s Ass is ablaze as the fire department arrives and puts out the huge fire. Flynn Night returns to the post office and makes himself at home. Flynn brews some tea while he tends to his wounds. As Flynn is content drinking tea and listening to the radio as he sits in his recliner, only he hears loud footsteps approaching. Flynn hears heavy breathing coming from behind him and Flynn slowly looks up to see Duke Anderson looking down on him. “You think you’re funny, huh?” asks Duke Anderson in a rugged voice that sounds like a cross between Elvis Presley and “Macho Man” Randy Savage. Duke grabs Flynn and holds him still as Atomic Anderson, Queen Brooke, and Con Man Chris emerge from out of the shadows. Flynn gulps as they all rush in and tie Flynn up to his recliner. Before sun rise, Atomic continues to beat Flynn up while interrogating him. “Are you working for King Dominion?” asks Atomic Anderson. Flynn keeping his cool, breaths and says “No, I’m just a bounty hunter. I don’t know where or who your daughter is. But if this keeps up, I’m calling the police,” as Atomic gives him another punch in the chest.

As the sun begins to rise and the start of the next day begins, Flynn crying slowly transforms back into Potluck with his tears going away and confusion covering his face. It’s nothing but confusion in the room as Atomic, Queen Brooke, Duke, and Con Man Chris find out that this mysterious Flynn Night is nothing more than their nerdy mailman, Potluck. Atomic punches Potluck in the gut again, as Potluck realizes he’s seriously wounded and wants to know what’s going on. “Don’t play dumb, Flynn. You got those wounds because I beat you until dawn trying to find out where Lara is,” says Atomic Anderson. “Who is Flynn? Does he work for King Dominion?” asks Potluck. Atomic slaps Potluck in the face. “I said don’t play dumb. We saw your transformation last night. We know that this Flynn guy is you. Plus, why else would he go and hide out in your post office,” asks Atomic Anderson. “Transformation? Wait did all this happen during the night?” asks Potluck. Con Man Chris enters holding a wanted poster for Flynn Night and shows it to Potluck. “This was who you were last night, dude. We better get out of here before we become fugitives too,” cries Con Man Chris. “It’s too late for that,” says a mysterious yet familiar voice. Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe enters and shuts the door behind him. Atomic rushes and tackles Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe to the ground. Atomic pins him Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe to the ground. “Please let me talk to you all. I’m sorry about last night. But he made me do it. It was the only way I and the village of Galbow could get out of debt,” pleads Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe. “Where’s my father and daughter?” asks Atomic Anderson. “I have no idea where your daughter is. But your father was taken by King Dominion’s men. He’s probably rotting in the dungeon as we speak,” cries Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe. Atomic begins to repeatedly punch Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe as he sobs insanely while doing so. Duke and Con Man Chris wrestler Atomic off Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe. Queen Brooke rushes over to comfort her husband as Duke pulls out a gun and shoots Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe. A few minutes later, after burying Sheriff Piggerton Horseshoe behind the post office, Atomic and company regroup as they plan to head over to Kenmere City to rescue Princess Lara. Potluck makes everyone tea and sandwiches as Atomic discusses his plan with his team at the kitchen table. “Wait, you want each of us to fight in The Wish Tournament? But I’m not a fighter. Couldn’t you, my dad, and Aunt Brooke just take part in the tournament without me?” asks Con Man Chris. “No, we all need to be in this together. That way, if one of us wins, we can free Lara. Does everyone understand?” asks Atomic Anderson. Queen Brooke and Duke Anderson both say yes while Con Man Chris shakes in fear. Potluck sensing the fear in his childhood friend, Con Man Chris, coughs and raises his hand. “I’ll enter The Wish Tournament with you guys in Chris’s place. I agree, Chris is just a con artist, he’s not a fighter. I’m trained in the art of the samurai, and I studied under the Order of the Fallkus under Kei Kong. I rest my case,” says Potluck. Everyone in the room except Con Man Chris laughs hard. “I’m serious. Please, let me do this?” asks Potluck. Atomic looks at Con Man Chris to see the fear in his eyes and then he looks back at Potluck. Atomic sighs and he reaches his out to shake Potluck’s hand. “I guess we have a deal. Only because you’re a great cook. But I’ll keep my eyes on you and your friend Flynn. Now excuse me as I pull the mail truck around. We have a long car ride ahead of us,” said Atomic Anderson. Atomic exits with Potluck following behind him. Con Man Chris steals some money out of the tip jar before he leaves. Duke Anderson taps Queen Brooke on the shoulder and asks, “Can we really trust the short fat swordsman? He might be working for King Dominion or something. Why would Atomic want to work with this guy?”. Queen Brooke sighs and whispers something into Duke’s ear which shocks him. Duke points at Potluck and then scratches his head. “You mean that guy is the son of…,” shouts Duke Anderson only for Queen Brooke to cover his mouth before he could finish. “He doesn’t know of his true origins. And that’s for the best. Because if Potluck doesn’t know, then neither does King Dominion,” says Queen Brooke. Duke and Queen Brooke were the last to exit the post office as they enter the mail truck alongside Atomic, Con Man Chris, and Potluck. Atomic turns on the radio and plays some rock and roll music. “Atomic, crank up the radio. I love this song,” says Duke Anderson.

The mail truck drives away from Galbow’s post office as police cars arrive onto the scene. The Tax Archer emerges from out of one of the run-down police cars. The Tax Archer pulls out a jug of gasoline and puts it outside the post office. The Tax Archer lights one of his arrows on fire and shoots it at the jug of gasoline causing a huge fire that slowly burns down the entire post office and surrounding buildings. A nerdy police officer aims his gun at The Tax Archer only for another hulking police officer to shot him. The Tax Archer and four police officers kill all the other police officers on the scene in a gruesome shootout. The Tax Archer salutes the living four police officers as a carrier pigeon flies down to deliver a message. The Tax Archer reads the message and quickly deposes of it. As the carrier pigeon flies away The Tax Archer shoots it much to the confusion of the other four police officers. “Men, you’ve been loyal to me. I want you all to keep the events of today secret so that King Dominion can never find out. Understand?” asks The Tax Archer. The four police officers salute to The Tax Archer and shout “Yes sir,” only for The Tax Archer to shoot and kill them all. After killing the four remaining police officers who were loyal to him, The Tax Archer drives away in a police car with sirens blaring. The Tax Archer turns off his siren after spotting Potluck’s mail truck as he slowly secretly follows them to Kenmere City. “I must get there before General Metalhead does. For the rebellion,” cries The Tax Archer. What rebellion is the better question?
