This is a pretty good pizza!
JENNY BUTLER
You still haven’t done the things
I asked you to do and it’s getting
late.
BUCKY BUTLER
I’ll do them before I go to bed I

JENNY BUTLER

done
Eating, it’s straight to your
chores.
BUCKY BUTLER
Okay, Mom.
SPOTTY
(EXCITEDLY) Hey Dad! Tell Grandma I
say hi!
BUCKY BUTLER
She can’t see you, remember?
SPOTTY
I know she can’t see me.
That’s why I want you to tell her
Spotty says hi. She loves her
grandchildren.
BUCKY BUTLER
She loves her real grandchildren
and—
JENNY BUTLER
Bucky, hello, do you hear me!
BUCKY BUTLER
I know, I’ll work on my chores as
soon
as I’m done eating okay! Please, I was
in the
middle of something.
JENNY BUTLER
In the middle of what, you were
just eating pizza and staring at
the TV.
BUCKY BUTLER
Never mind.
JENNY BUTLER
I guess you didn’t hear me say your
sister Nina is coming over to do
her laundry.
BUCKY BUTLER
Oh great, another critic who will
judge my life choices is coming
over.
JENNY BUTLER
Well, at least Nina does her own
laundry.
BUCKY BUTLER
I fold my own clothes.

SPOTTY

again!
BUCKY BUTLER
But she’s not your Grandma and
you’re—
JENNY BUTLER
Bucky, remember to pause the TV

talk. I’m trying to watch the show
remember.
BUCKY BUTLER
Wait, you heard me talking right
now.
JENNY BUTLER
Yes, and you been behaving oddly
today.

usually
behave. Is something wrong?
BUCKY BUTLER
I thought you said people wouldn’t hear me
talking to you Spotty.
SPOTTY

talking to yourself when you’re talking to me.
